George "Al" Alan Williams 
July 8, 1940 - September 11, 2013

 

George Alan “Al” Williams, 73, of Beaumont, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on July 8, 1940, in Queens, New York, to Mary Agnus Kelly and Thomas Dudley Williams, and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Al owned and operated his own trucking business for many years.

 

He was a loving husband, father, and friend, always looking for someone to help. Al loved race cars, fishing, boats, the ocean, driving trucks, and joking about anything. He was devoted to his ministry and teaching about Jehovah.

 

Al leaves behind his beautiful and loving wife, Jean Shivers-Williams; children, Skip and his wife, Pam, and their children, Dondi, Dusti, and Darci;  Janet and her husband, Michael, and their children, Joshua, Jeremy, Jennifer, and Jackie; Kelly and her husband, Chris, and their children, Jessie, Angie, and Matt; Tonya and her husband, Ron, and their children, Justin and Brandon, Cindy and her husband, Bob, and their children, Desriee, Glen, and Kevin;  Bud and his wife, Louise, and their children, Ann, Travis, Tulley, Aimee, Cliff, and Charles; David and his children, Grant and Toni; Holly and her husband, Alvin, and their children, Starr, Trey, and Mason; Joe and his children, Brittney and Roman; Tina and her husband, Frank, and their children, Jason, Josphee, and Jesse; Alana and her daughter, Ashley; and Sheila Glenn and her husband, Richard, and their daughter, Lauren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his second wife, Jay; son, Alan; grandsons, Charles and Thomas; great-grandsons, Jameson and Trenton; brothers, Richard and Thomas; and sister, Carolyn.

 

Al will be deeply missed. We love you Dad.

 

A gathering of Mr. Williams’ family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
