James "Ray Ray" Gallier
September 23, 1968 - September 10, 2013

James "Ray Ray" Gallier, 44, of Sour Lake, Texas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born on September 23, 1968, in Beaumont, to Sherry and David Gallier. Ray was a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas, growing up in Lumberton and graduating from Lamar University.

Early on, Ray was dubbed "McGyver" by his friends because of his ability to build or fix anything, as he was a master craftsman. He was never too busy to help a friend, whenever and wherever he was needed.

Ray had a deep love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Everything he did in life, he approached with a "full speed ahead" attitude. Bull riding, dirt track racing, BBQ cook offs....no matter what it was, it was all or nothing!

Ray had a great sense of humor and he was always fun to be around. He loved life and lived it to the fullest! His greatest love was his family, and he cherished his children.

He is survived by his wife, Tisha; children, Ally, Mitchell, and Madee Gallier; his parents, Sherry Gallier and David and Linda Gallier; his brothers, Donnie Gallier and his wife, Ami; Joe Gallier and his wife, Stephinie; Jerry Berwick and his wife, Shellie; sisters, Kelli Kotlartz and her husband, Jeremy; Michelle George and her husband, Anthony; Suzanne Martin and her husband, Wayne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow Gallier, Myrtle Jones, Peggy and Walter Wallace.

A gathering of Mr. Gallier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
