Mildred Irene Clark Freeman,
89, of Fannett, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Harbor Hospice House, Beaumont. She was born
on January 25, 1924, in Beaumont, to Helen McWilliams Clark and Grover Davis Clark.
Mildred grew up in Beaumont,
and at the age of thirteen, her mother passed away and she and her younger sisters were raised by
their Dad and older sister, Freida. Mildred’s
husband, W. C. Freeman, served in the Navy during
World War II and they started their family while in San Diego, California.
After returning to Beaumont
she worked as a bookkeeper and retired from Industrial Sheet Metal. Upon their retiring, Mildred and W.
C. moved to Sam Rayburn where she loved to crochet, read and travel with her friends.
Mildred is survived by her daughter,
Anne Shivers and her husband, Jerry; son Wayne Freeman and his wife, Judy, all of Fannett;
daughter –in-law, Robin Swan of Silsbee; grandchildren, Jody Potier and her husband, Brent of Winnie; Carl
Freeman and his wife, Cheri; Billy Freeman and his wife, Becky; Alicia Bourgeois and her husband,
John; Angel Bird and her husband, Jimmy, all of Fannett; Allyson Buller and her husband, Aaron of Kountze;
great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Ty Potier; Austin, Brooke, Carlson, Chelsea, Blake and
Hunter Freeman; Ashleigh Vick, Johnny and Katie Bourgeois; Keeley Bourgeois Buescher; Tyler
Brinkley; Matthew and Lane Bird; Makayla and Briley Buller; sisters, Lois Perry of Kirbyville; Ada
Duplechin of Nome; and Louise Swanson of Port Arthur; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband, W. C. Freeman; son, William Freeman; and sister, Freida
Franklin.
