Jim Dale
Warren, 88, of Beaumont, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at Harbor Hospice,
Beaumont. He was born on January 6, 1925, to Winnie and John Warren. Dale was a
veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. He worked for twenty-seven years
as a Utility Operator with Goodyear Chemical, before his retirement.
Dale enjoyed
woodworking, gardening, watching hummingbirds, saltwater fishing, and being at
the beach. To save his garden, Dale would often capture squirrels and liberate
them to the country. In addition to that, he also had a beautiful flower
garden.
Dale is
survived by his son, Gary Warren and his wife, Pat, of Beaumont; grandchildren,
Nicole Marie Warren of Memphis, Tennessee and Michelle Dee Cook of Lumberton;
sister, Thelma Harris of McAllen; and brother, John Martin Warren of Oilton,
Oklahoma.
He is preceded
in death by his parents; wife, Leona Mae Warren; and brother, Charles Lee
Warren.
A gathering of
Mr. Warren’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday,
September 2, 2013, at Landmark United Pentecostal Church, 2115 Nall Street,
Port Neches. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3,
2013, at Landmark United Pentecostal Church, with interment to follow at Oak
Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North
12th Street, Nederland.
