Ella Marie Vaughan, 93, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at College Street Health Care Center, Beaumont. A native of Morse, Louisiana, she was born to Elmaza Hoffpauir Benoit and Odelon Benoit, on July 4, 1920. She retired as a cosmetic clerk from Eckerd’s Drug Store with over thirty years of service. Survivors include her children, Bobby Vaughan and his wife, Alice, of China; Reverend Richard Vaughan and his wife, Annette, of Lumberton; Tommy Bergeron and his wife, Sandra, of Beaumont; Bertha O’Neill and her husband, Bill, of Beaumont; and Eddie Vaughan and his wife, Nina, of Beaumont; sister, Vergie Boudreaux; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Vaughan; son, Lee Roy Bergeron; parents; and numerous brother and sisters. A gathering of Mrs. Vaughan’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont. Serving as pallbearers are Eddie Vaughan, Anthony Vaughan, Adam Vaughan, Mark O’Neil, Spencer Bergeron and Lynn Braneff. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Vaughan, Gabe Vaughan, Charles Thibodeaux, Bobby Vaughan, Richard Vaughan and Tommy Bergeron.
