To all the McDonald family.........I am so sorry to hear of Billie Jean's passing. I have so many joyful memories of the time we shared at Caldwood Elementary. She was always a bright spot in my day, full of laughter and fun. It has been years since we talked but it really seems like just yesterday. I know she will be missed dearly. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Arthur Steve Shannon and Michelle,

I'm so very sorry to know of your loss......to hear of Billie Jean's passing. I'm sure your hearts are heavy. I only wish I'd known of her condition earlier; I would have LOVED to have seen her one last time. Betty told Jimmy and I about her condition last weekend, when we were both in Bmt. Bless her heart, I know Betty's had a difficult year as well - she's had so much on her mind....so much to deal with. And even when she told us about BJ, I know Betty believed - at the time - that she still had much more time. So, while I wish I'd had the opportunity to see her, I'm so thankful to know she's finally at peace.....as I pray you all will know such peace in your mind and heart.

On the other hand .....
if you/we remember nothing else -- Billie Jean was one hell of a woman -- incomparable for sure....fearless, opinionated, and SO DAMN FUNNY !!!! ......and she LIVED LIFE LARGE (and, sometimes - 'loud' :-) ) every friggin' day she was here... I have many memories of her - esp her laughter. You gotta admit, BJ McDonald knew how to have a good time. And when you were with her - chances were excellent that you'd be celebrating the moment as well. All in all, maybe not a bad way to be remembered......
And finally - I feel as though I need to apologize to you all -- on my father's behalf. I know how very much he loved BJ & Arthur; I mean, sincerely - my dad genuinely cherished you guys,,,,you were family.. And, having gained access to the heavenly gates before us all, I knew John Vallie would be begging our Lord for some company fairly quickly.....starting with the people he MOST enjoyed. So you had to know that Billie Jean would be at the top of his list! Nothing against Arthur of course..... it's just, if John Vallie had to pick between the 2, I'm sure he nabbed the one who wouldn't aggravate his ears....talking incessantly about the Aggies :-).

God Bless. I love you guys....and I'll always love Billie Jean

I am sorry for your family's loss. She was a very sweet and funny lady. I enjoyed working with her at Caldwood many years ago.

I am so very to hear of Billy's passing. Loved her sense of humor and sage advice. Fifteen minutes in her library helped me get through my day. Prayers to all of you during this time.
