Julie: Am so sorry about your Mom..Thought a lot of your Dad ...He was always so nice and always friendly when I would see him in Kountze (post office or at the courthouse).
My husband and I went to Ray's funeral when he passed away and I was hoping you would be there so I could visit with you...Ray and I were classmates from Silsbee High School in the class of 1957. Have known all of his family for many years; rode the school bus together; knew his Mom and Dad; and his brothers all of my life...Mr. Ruben(Ray's Dad) worked in the oilfield and worked at the Arco Plant which was north of Silsbee and just up the road from where my parents lived when Ray and I were in school...We all just had a good time...How many grandbabies do you have? We have two granddaughters and they both teach... the oldest one teaches college English at Vidor High School; she is over the English dept. ; does UIL and does other things in the school. She has her Masters in Administration and is starting college to get her Doctorate June 1st. Our youngest granddaughter teaches Elementary PE (1st; 2nd; & 3rd grade) @ Lumberton. We are soooooo proud of both of them...Love them very much. You all are in our PRAYERS. Take care and let me hear from you...We retired and moved and now live in Center, Texas (close to Nacogdoches)..My husband is originally from here and has lots of relatives here...We are building a home and hopefully it will be finished around the end of May or first of June...OUR LOVE; PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY....EDDIE DOGGETT, 179 DAMASCUS RD., CENTER, TEXAS 75935
