I have fond memories of Uncle Glen and times he and Aunt Doris would come for visits—even when I was a small child many, many years ago! More recently it was pure joy to see my Mom’s face light up when she heard his voice on the other end of the phone—he still called when he was 95 and she was 91…he never missed her birthday. As the youngest two of nine siblings, they were very close. Also known as “Toots” and “Shorty”, they had lots of spunk. Mom left us just a few months ago, and I bet she and the rest of the Fouts family who passed before are having one grand reunion as they stand in line to welcome Uncle Glen at the Pearly Gates. My heartfelt sympathy to Aunt Doris, Shirley, Randy, and all your families—may your beautiful memories keep him with you always. Monday, February 18, 2013 |
