I knew Jon Ethel as "Mammaw" for 17 years, and she was such a great woman. She was always full of life and loved her independence. She always had a good, loving, and strong hug for me whenever I saw her.
I had the pleasure of knowing her and feel fortunate to have known her. Beyond her loving personality, she was a GREAT cook. I got to sample her infamous dumplings on many occasions.
You'll be missed, Mammaw, by many people. We will keep your memory alive by talking about what a great lady you were.
Love, Susan

Jon Ethel was a dear friend. She recently stopped by while I was working outside at the homeplace in Silsbee. We visited for over an hour and she stood the entire time. Thankful that we were able to share time and hugs. RIP, dear Jon Ethel.
