When I think of my cousin Howard Thomas, I remember his beautiful voice. I also remember how encouraging he was to me when he learned that I was studying music in college. Heaven's choir sounds even more beautiful today with the addition of his voice. Losing a parent/spouse is never easy no matter what the stage of life may be. While on your grief journey, may I encourage you to give your grief a voice as you reflect on beautiful memories together, sharing tears and laughter, and speaking his name often. By doing so, his memory will be kept alive for generations to come. I am sorry that distance keeps me from being with you all in your time of remembrance, but know that I am praying for God's comforting and loving arms to be wrapped around each of you today and in the days ahead.
