I first met Noreen when my daughter, Melissa, married her grandson, Chris Hefner. I knew then she was a woman full of spirit with a kind heart. My family always enjoyed her company. We had the pleasure of being together when we welcomed Benjamin and Sophia into the world and the Catholic faith. Norren will forever be a part of our life through her great-grandchildren. We are grateful her spirit lives on.... Our thoughts and prayers reach out to Ann, Chris and the rest of her family. Dear Sweet Noreen...have known and loved her for 47 years. She was a constant in my life...a "sister of my heart". A true Christian woman who loved and shared whatever she could with so many less fortunate. Noreen was probably the easiest person in my world to please...she took such joy in such simple, little presents...a rose, a picture of family, a note, a pressed flower, butterflies....I could go on with our exchanges over the years. Noreen was smart beyond her schooling regarding the environment, water quality, food additives....you would hardly believe some of the lively discussions we have had over the years. She was right!! She and her Mother used to stop and visit my grandparents and stroll through their gardens..in awe of the flowers...most of all, the roses. Noreen was so in love with her children and grandchildren and soooo many great-grandchildren. I know she prayed for all daily. I am so proud to have known her and will truly miss her beyond words I can express. I am happy we were always there for each other. And God said, "Well done my true and faithful servant". To all of Noreen's family, Noreen was one of my best childhood friends. We lived just a few houses apart and did everything together. She always said I was another one of her sisters. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. May God bless each one of you with an extra measure of comfort and peace. Much love, Carol (Perdue) and Raymond Dupree Friday, February 8, 2013 |
