just heard of billy jacks passing. I'm so sorry we didn't stay in touch all these years but will never forget all the great times we had, all the great gigs we had with billy me and cochise. also together in the sensayshuns. I've never enjoyed playing as much with anyone else. mrs. mary and mr. dick were not only our caretakers but like a mother and father to me. I miss you very much. always with love. The best vocalist and musician I have ever had the pleasure to work with on stage. He was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. No matter the situation, Billy always had a smile. I remember going to a gig one night and I ask him if he had heard Reba's new song "Take It Back." He said yea man, that would be a great song for you to do, so I said let's do it tonight. We just happen to have a guy who was setting in with us that night that didn't know Billy that well and when we got to the club, the guy ask me, "do you really think he can play that, ya'll have never done it before. I had to laugh. I looked at this guy and said, :did he say he could play it?" and the guy said yea, but...I said there is no but's about it, if he said he can do it, he can do it. Needless to say, we blew the crowd out of their seats with it. I could write a comedy show with the things Billy surprised us with. There were so many good things about this man, and one of the best brothers I ever had. I love you man and I know you are smiling down on me right now. I have live copies of us singing of the old days and I listen to them often, WE WERE JUST AMAZING!!! There will never be another Billy Jack to me. He was so unique in his own crazy way and I loved him for it. I know you're singing with the angels right now and I'm sure you have already told them "let's raise the key and give them something to listen too." I grieve only because I miss you, but I rejoice in the life you are living now. Love ya man...from the Rolls Royce you remember, Sharon Shanell... Saturday, February 9, 2013 |

Charlie,Debbie & Family, I was so sad to hear about Billy Jack's passing. We were out of town or we would have been there. Billy was always a happy & positive person who always had a smile for everyone. I have many fond memories of going to Uncle Dick's and Aunt Mary's and he would be playing his music. I'm glad to know that they were at Heaven's gates to meet him in the end. Love & prayers to everyone.

Billy, you were a fabulous musician, although we've played in several bands together, you were always the missing link that transformed those bands into great ones. Not only were you a great musician, you were an awesome friend as well. I love you my friend and I'll see you again someday. Rest in eternal peace my friend. Mark R. Coffee. Beaumont,Tx. My mother Betty, father Robert and brother Kevin send our deepest condolences to you and your family. I haven't seen Billy in years and really miss listening to him when he played. Ronnie and I had a lot of good times watching, listening and hanging out with Billy years ago. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 |
