Bill was one of the most trusted newsmen in this area. You could always count on him for the truth. He gave selflessly of his time and talent with so many charity events emceed by him. What a wonderful legacy to leave his family. My hearts and prayers go out to all of his family. May all of the wonderful memories his family has of this fine man bring you peace. God be with you all. Me and my family has watched Bill for years. It is going to be strange not seeing him for a long time to come. I dont know who could possibly fill his shoes. He will be terribly missed.....We are praying for his family.......

I was upset by the passing of Bill Leger. Everyone I have talked to has been sadden by his death. He was like a part of the family to everyone in this area. A part of the community is forever changed. He was so personable, human and had a great sense of humor. He was an excellant reporter and he will be missed. Even his Cajan culure was so much a part of who he was. Prayers go out to his family, coworkers and the whole channel 6 viewing family.
