Sometimes I grow homesick for heaven And the glories I
there shall behold; What a joy that will be when my Savior
I see in that beautiful city of gold;

Dwight and Kathleen (Huntington,, TX)

Walter and Family, we are very sorry to learn of Sammy's death and hope that your memories of the good times with him will help ease your pain and sadness. I remember him as a child and fondly recall a time wnen our grandprents and I were visiting with you all in Winnie on Christmas Day. Sam was about 4 or 5 and eagerly ripped the paper off one after the other of his presents. Thinking about it makes me smile, and I'm sad we didn't interact more as adults.

James and Solange Aldridge (Nederland, TX)

James and I had gotten close to Sam over his time at Lisotta's.
They both loved to pick and joke around. Whenever I would cook, James had to take some over to Sam. We would talk about the grandchildren and his daughter all the time. Unfortanually there were times he had to call for us to go over because he was sick. He was a really good friend and we both will miss him, but especially James. Sam was his buddy and he will miss walking over and talking to Sam. Our prayers are with his daughter, grandchldren and his brother.
We and most anyone who talked to Sam will miss him deeply.
May God be with you all, as Sam is in a good place now and is not in pain, or sadness anymore.
