I was shocked to see that Dr Caskey had passed 3 years ago. I so hoped that he was enjoying his retirement. My thoughts were to go see him, on my next trip to Tx. Wow, what a shock. A typical scenario of planning to go visit a friend that touched my life so positively, and I waited to long. Dr. Caskey was my childhood physician at age 12, a young man at the time. He then delivered my daughter, when I was 19. Single and dumped by my high school sweetheart. K. Ogden. I asked Dr Caskey, if I could come into the office from the back door. I was so humiliated! He said no, I want you to continue walking into the front door and to hold your head up high. You are just as deserving to enter the front door as the other patients. He was a compassionate soul and helped me through that 7 1/2 months.
I survived as he said I would, and began working in the office for Dr.Caskey and Dr.McCall after I became a nurse at 26. What a great 5 years we all had! Healing the sick and having great lunches!
When I heard that my father had been robbed and murdered in BMT. by J.Kelly, who was there to catch me when I identified my father ,as I slumped to the ground, non other than, Dr. Caskey. He has affected my life in so many positive ways and I will always hold a special place for him in my heart. Dr. Caskey was a rare type of man and physician. He was compassionate, caring, intelligent, humorous, and he put his heart and soul into his patients and staff. We were all like family, a rare opportunity at that moment in time. Dr.C. may you RIP and continue to drop a little of your great sense of humor down on us, your friends and family! My prayers go out to the family! Sincerely, Judy

Dr . Caskey was my dr from birth in1960 untill he retired in 1999. I remember running to jump in his lap at 3 years old and I remember him coming to the hospital to see me after having my first child. I Truly loved him. We are all better because he was in this world. He will be missed.

Glenn & Nell McNeel (Pt. Neches, TX., TX)

Dr. Caskey was our family Dr. for years, he was so caring, when you walkd into his office he would push his chair back & say o.k. tell me what's been going on, he was always there for you. He knew the kids name & their age when he was contacted for them. they weren't sick that much but when I'd tell him the problem & asked if I should bring them in he'd almost always say I didn't have to & he'd call the pharmacy which was such a blessing. My physaical was the last day that he was in the office, he loved his family & was so excited about going to the country for the holiday. He was in the perfect profession because he had so much love & concern for everyone, we were hurt & sadden when he wasn't able to practice any longer, he was missed by all. Sorry this happened to your family, know he'll be dearly missed, we pray God's blessings on all of you, Nell McNeel.
