John Osborne (Crystal River, FL)

My most sincere condolences to the Cheesman family!

Mr. Cheesman was the father of one of my best friends in High School – Gill. Spending a lot of great times with Gill, I remember the Cheesman’s home as one of those that I and other close friends would hang around and Mr. and Mrs. Cheesman always made me feel like a part of their family. It almost became a tradition to spend a little time with the Cheesman’s on Christmas Eve, before spending time with my own. I remember Mr. Cheesman as one of my Sunday school teachers, his favorite dog “Pal”, the time he let me and John Ohmstede travel with their family to Hawaii one summer and when Mr. Cheesman put in a good word for me with the builder/developer of Woodpark so I could get a summer time and after school job.

“Mac” Cheesman raised a great family and my thoughts and prayers are now with them during this difficult time.

Thomas Haisten (Tomball, TX)

"Mac" was a wonderful man who gave me my first job doing some computer work in his office. He was a role model and he was a mentor to me. I learned about the stock and bond markets. It was an exciting time in the markets back in the eighties, which led me to become a financial advisor, just like him. You will be missed by everyone you touched with your kindness and I will pray for your family. I will see you again one day in Heaven my friend.
Sincerely,
Thomas Haisten

When I think of Mac it always brings a smile to my face. Many great memories of the big house on Belvedere with Polly and the dogs and kids. Fun times at Labelle, as well. He was a good man and a dear friend to my dad, Joe. God bless...
