The grief is so hard to bear and the pain so difficult to share in words but I am honoured to have been given the spiritual heritage of the introduction to the LORD JESUS CHRIST 30 years ago through Aunty Ruth. Thereafter the growing enjoyment of spiritual encouragement and parenthood through my beloved Aunty Ruth and Uncle Christopher. Aunty inspired me and helped to train me in the ministry to children. It is the many beautiful memories of our times together that inspire me afresh to live "looking unto JESUS" and in the hope of knowing that we shall meet again in glory. I cannot thank you enough Aunty for all that you have been to me and I thank our LORD JESUS for the priveledge of having had you in my life and the wonderful legacy in CHRIST that you have left behind. Rest in peace, all my love, Lydie (Tim, John and Abigail) xx Saturday, August 18, 2012 |

I know I already posted my heartfelt thoughts to Dear Aunty Ruth, but as the days wear on the sorrow is deep, and after watching the pain of her dear family and loved ones during the funeral, I wanted to add a few words. The following lines of a song convey the sentiments beautifully- and encapsulate, the joy, yes joy, that Aunty is indeed with our Lord, and our hope is only in Him.I can only cling to the loving arms of the Sweet Lord Jesus, and trust you too will find comfort in His everlasting love. Death hath lost its sting, the grave hath not its victory, all because He has borne our sorrows. God bless you all x
There is a higher throne Than all this world has known, Where faithful ones from ev'ry tongue Will one day come. Before the Son we'll stand, Made faultless through the Lamb; Believing hearts find promised grace— Salvation comes.
Hear heaven's voices sing; Their thund'rous anthem rings Through em'rald courts and sapphire skies. Their praises rise. All glory, wisdom, power, Strength, thanks, and honor are To God our King, who reigns on high Forevermore.
And there we'll find our home, Our life before the throne; We'll honor Him in perfect song Where we belong. He'll wipe each tear-stained eye As thirst and hunger die. The Lamb becomes our Shepherd King; We'll reign with Him.
