I have so many fond memories of you and Maxine at the Pompano Club. You always had a pleasant attitude and my husband and I enjoyed watching ya'll dance.

With our family having a camp near Cow Creek, I'm sure that you knew my father, Raymond C. Gish.

Your smile and laughter will be missed by so many, including me. Rest in peace, Hamp.

Hamp was a wonderful grandfather and an incredibly positive influence on my life and the lives of everyone he touched. I am greatful we were able to spend most of his last two years together and I was able to get to know him better as a grown-man in contrast to the little boy who knew him as I grew-up. His kindness, and gentle nature has made a profound influence on my life and he was a wonderful & positive example to have as I grew-up. I miss him already and I will always cherish the memories we made together. A special thanks to the People of Nederland who helped to make his final years safe and secure, you know who you are.

Uncle Hamp was a special uncle with all those tales, that special little laugh and making the kids hunt for a cat when he made the little meowing noises. I remember the Mercury Comets that he drove when employed by Hershey. Uncle Hamp, we will all miss you.
