I am a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church and I visited Mrs. Poche when she was at Ashton Gables.. She was such a joy to see. She always had a smile and I especially remember her talking about the rice (paddies) fields of her family. My most humble condolences to the family on your loss. Judy Mauney Tuesday, June 12, 2012 |

I would like to send condolences to all my family members who are grieving right now. I wish I could be with you to share in our love for my grandmother, Alice. I choose to focus on all the happy memories of her like the funny laugh she had, the numerous family stories she told, the infamous gumbo and date nut cake she made, her devotion to family and friends, and the twinkle in her blue eyes when she was trying to teach me a lesson but didn't want to come across too mean. Alice Poche` has had a special and unique relationship with each one of us. At this time, I pray that God lifts your spirits in celebration of her life and blesses the riches she has given us over the years. Monday, June 11, 2012 |
