This was a big shock. Brekel was a memorable student while at LIT. He had such a determined sparkle that one would wish every student could possess. He held such wonderful work ethics and I am sure this carried over in his career. I've had the pleasure of working with John over the last 6 years and he left his mark on my life with his example.
