Pat and Pam,
You are both in my prayers at this time of the loss of your mother. May God fill your hearts with His peace that passes all understanding.

Donna (Port Arthur, TX)

I was sad to learn of Opal's passing, but for me, not for her. I know she has gone to a better place. For the past 3 years, I have visited Opal every 1-3 weeks on behalf of First Baptist Church Nederland. I brought her a pink fuzzy monkey for her bed and sometimes sang or prayed with her, but I always told her I loved her and that Jesus loved her too. They told me Opal could not talk, but, once, when I was leaving and said my usual I love you, she clearly said "love you" as I walked out the door. I would have thought I had imagined it, but Mabel, her roommate got all excited and said, "Hey, she talked. She never talks." I was humbled by that gift. She always loved for me to rub her cheek and would lean her face into mine when I put my face next to hers.

Rest in peace, sweet Opal, until Jesus comes. Love you.

Alan, Pat, and Pam,
Our prayers are with you as you celebrate your Mother's life. I always looked forward to the times and visits spent with your Mom and Dad. They were both wonderful people ( and cousins).
God be with you.
