I just found out that Mr. Charles Ray passed away, and 35 year old memories have come flooding back. I recall my mom, Phyllis, sending me down Combs Dr. on my big wheel to pick up soap from him. Everytime, without fail, he told me he was going to cut my ear off, and for some reason, in my child's mind, I was always disappointed when he didn't. Though it's been many, many years since we last met, I have fond memories that I'll keep forever. My condolences to Ms. Charlotte and Charlie. He was a good man. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 |

To Charlotte and all the family,
I met Charles several times thru Walter my brother. He was always a polite, pleasant, gentleman and a joy to be around.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. I pray that God will strengthen your spirits at this time and allow you to remember the great times that you had with Charles. I hope those memories sustain you in this time of grief. God Bless you all.
