I had the honor of studying clarinet with Dr. Carlucci. He was an amazing mentor and teacher. It was with his amazing knowledge, experience and musicianship that transformed me as his student. I learned many lessons not just in music but in life. I would not be where I am today without his guidance and teachings. I feel very blessed to have been a part of his life. His spirit and memory will live on with me and the many lives he has touched.

I have fond memories of my days under the baton of Dr. Carlucci, and I am grateful for those experiences. He gave so much of himself to so many of us. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with his family at his passing.

Many memories have come back upon hearing of Dr. C's passing. I spent most of the 70's at Lamar playing in all of those groups, from Cardinal Strings to the BSO and of course, the Opera productions. Thank you, Dr. Carlucci, for all of the music you helped me experience.
