I am so saddened by the passing of such an outstanding musician and mentor. During my four years at Lamar University as a music major, I studied clarinet with Dr. Carlucci and came to admire and respect him in so many ways. It was Dr. Carlucci that gave me my first opportunity at performing with the Beaumont Symphony which continued for many years. I now continue to teach my elementary music students all about the orchestra! He will truly be missed. Monday, March 26, 2012 |

Dr. Carlucci was a very gifted musician, conductor, and mentor. He was one of the most professional gentlemen I have ever known. I very much appreciate what he taught me while I was a student at Lamar University. He was a tremendous promoter of the arts in Southeast Texas, and clearly he will be missed.
My sincere condolences to Dr. Carlucci's family! Monday, March 26, 2012 |
