To the family of Madelyn, I was so sorry to hear of her passing, our hearts and prayers go out to all the family. We were classmates at BHS in 1950 and back thru the years from elementary school with Madelyn, and loved her and will miss her . Mrs. Brown was such a sweet, caring, and loving person that we love her like she's our relative. Ryan and Ashlyn both think of her as another grandmother, and Mrs. Brown always said they were both like her own grandkids. She specifically asked to be notified whenever Ashlyn was performing in band or twirling so that she could see her perform and not let Ashlyn feel left out since they had been to so many of Ryan's performances in church and theater. It was such a wonderful request to hear from Mr. Brown that one of her last requests was to have Ryan sing at her funeral service, and Ryan was glad to do that for her and your family. She will be missed by all of us, but we're thankful that she now is in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we'll see her again when we are called by Him.

My heart is just broken—I so enjoyed sitting near Jerry & Madelyn at Sunday worship. She was so precious and kind and loved her family so. Whenever the children were home and they came to church, she could not wait to introduce them and the smile on her face was a sweet expression of the joy in her heart. Just a couple of weeks ago, I observed her family beside her and thought of the beautiful Christian heritage seated so closely side-by-side. Madelyn’s gracious warmth and friendship will remain etched in my memory of this dear lady. May God bless her family at this time of loss. May the knowledge that she is in heaven in the presence of the God she loved and served give you peace. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 |
