Bobby "Rusty" Oliver Ratcliff, Jr.

I'm truly saddened by this news of the loss of my long time good friend Rusty (Bobby). I had gotten a text from him in December and his Uncle Randy had been keeping us (my wife Brenda and myself) informed of his conditions. Had I known of the family and friends gathering on December 30th, we would have came. I was working with the band on New Years Eve, of course, in San Angelo at Sealy Flats Blues Hotel. We would like to send our deepest sympathies to all of the Radcliff family. I loved Rusty like a brother and cried when I read this memorial link. Rusty loved me "dearly but not queerly" he would jokingly say to me. We spent a lot of great times together playing music and traveling the world. I miss him so very much now and I'm also so very proud of the way he handled himself through all the recovery issues he tried. He never looked for pity or sympathy but hung too the good time memories of his life. May God show mercy and shower him with love, kindness and understanding like He does to us all.

Rest In Peace my good friend. I'll see you again someday.

I am heartbroken at the news of Rusty's passing. Rusty and I were close friends in high school. We lost touch after graduation but I thought of him many times over the years. I had always hoped to run into him one day and talk about old times, he was such a great guy. I am sending prayers your way.
