I am so sorry to see that Doug has passed on. I first met him back in the late 70's- early 80's when he was a client at the Beaumont State Center. He was always so very happy and positive. I kept in contact with him as he was in the Silsbee workshop and saw him at all the functions we had together. I wish I had know he was living in Tulsa. I have been here for about a year now and would have driven to visit with him. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 |

Doug will forever be in my heart. Doug was an inspiration to me and without knowing it helped me immensely when my son was born with Down's Syndrome. Doug touched my heart and my life from the day I met him way back in 1981 when I first worked for the Burke Center at the Workshop. It is a blessing to have known him.
