Mr. Johnny will be remembered by us always. He was so helpful in helping my son Shane acquire and ride his 1st and only horse . He was a man that once you met him, you wanted to spend more time around him. I'd never get tired of hearig him tell story after story. He had so many life experiences--he lived life to its fullest--that's for sure . He'll always be fondly remembered by this family. The kindness & helpfulness he shared will never be forgotten. Mrs. Sandy knows that Mr. Johnny even helped our Uncle Milo Thomas in Brooksville , FL buy a fine horse for his beef cattle ranch--even trailered it all the way to FL behind his fine white pickup. Too many memories to share. God Bless the family as they mourn and prayers that they may be comforted and realize how blessed they are to be part of Mr. Johnny's family. . My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. My husband lived across the street from the Schroeder home place and knew all of the boys. Thursday, December 8, 2011 |

Before I ever met Mr. Johnny I used to hear stories about him around the high school! He was known as the last "real" cowboy in Southeast Texas. Then I had the pleasure of meeting him two years ago. When my husband introduced me to him for the first time he gave me a big warm smile and a handshake. Every time I saw him after that it was the same thing. We're going to truly miss that smile. & the stories about him are going to be never ending. Keep on smiling the way he would want you too! Thursday, December 8, 2011 |
