Reading the kind, heartfelt messages from those who knew and respected Edwin during past decades, I'm not surprised. I knew him as a friend when he was a couple of years younger in school long ago and can attest to the fact Edwin was a fine young man. Later, I worked with his dad at Neches Butane for many years, and when I would ask about Edwin, it was easy to see that Ed Sr. was very proud of his son's accomplishments.
