He was loved by so many...including us. He has left a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. What a man...a kind and gentle man who lived his life for his family and friends and those in need. Thursday, December 15, 2011 |

Coach Bowman was such a great man--I never had him for a teacher, but remember all the times i would see his smiling face in the halls at French High School. At a time when Teens are resenting the authority of their elders and teachers, he was the one we all loved and looked up to--mainly because he was so cheerful and positive. We just knew he loved what he was doing and it truly made a difference in our lives. My prayers are with all of his family at this time of loss. Randa Carrington Wednesday, November 30, 2011 |

Janis Gray, FHS class of 64. I have discovered thru the years that not everyone had the privilege of taking Driver's Ed in school as we did. We were MOST privileged to be the recipients of Coach Bowman's patient instructions. I have fond memories of the smile on his face after he had me drive down a shell-topped road about a 1/4 of a mile, then back out of it. Thanks, Coach. God bless you. Monday, November 28, 2011 |

Mrs. Bowman, I was so shocked to hear of your loss. He was my driving teacher. We had the best time and went everywhere with him. I have often wondered through the years how he and his family were doing. He was one of those people you never forget in your lifetime. He was always laughing and making us laugh at ourselves when we did something really stupid. I had the privilage of driving with just about all of our class with him. I remember going and picking up you oldest daughter from school and taking him to get a haircut. What fun! I know that you will miss him but you are the lucky one to have had him as a mate. I know this is a very sad time for you and your family. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I feel lucky to be one of the ones that he taught to drive. He probably went home everyday and wondered what he had gotten into. Know that he is in God's hands and there he should be. Janie Henslee Landrum Monday, November 28, 2011 |
