Nothing that is loved is ever lost... No one who has touched a life, who has brought beauty to the world, is ever truly gone. Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted" God bless you all. Your sister, Julie Mangus Gustafson Wednesday, November 16, 2011 |

Renate was my first German friend in Beaumont and in the States and we spent many fun times together with our other friends and kids until I moved to Phoenix in 1986! I am so sorry to hear that she is gone - but I will always think of her as a friend and my heart goes out to her family. Baerbel (Barb) Sunday, November 13, 2011 |

Bill, I will miss Renate and all her wonderful uplifting emails! We became friends on line somewhere around 1993-4 as part of the Womans' Wire bunch that would gather via computer everyday. She has been such a great joy to have as a friend as she shared pictures of her "babies", humming birds, and truly inspirational nature photos. I know that we all will miss her, but know that she is in a far better place of no suffering. My love and prayers to all of the family.. Paula Carnes aka Sawgrass Saturday, November 12, 2011 |

No matter which words we will find now, it will always remain the feeling that there is something we could have said to you. All words we are able to write here can't explain this feeling. No words in the world can express how much we will miss our beloved aunty and sister. We will love and remember you forever.

Dear Bill:
My prayers are with you at this very sad time. I was so surprised and saddened when Peter Power sent me the note of Renate's death. I will pray for you in a special way at Mass these evening.
I am sorry that I can't be with you this afternoon for the funeral. I am giving a retreat that I just can't leave. Though my heart and prayers are with you today.
