A fallen soldier came home today....the entire city of Lumberton came out. Along the route from the Airport many motorists had pulled to the side of the road or lined the grass shoulder holding American Flags to pay their respects. Today David came home and we all came out to thank him for his service and grieve for the loss of another of our sons. Let no one forget the cost of Freedom, Let no one disrespect those that sacrifice so much so that we can live free..... Thank You David, you will not be forgotten. Friday, October 7, 2011 |

To the family of PFC David Drake: May our Lord's face shine upon you and give you comfort and peace during this time. David was a true hero. God bless David and all of our soldiers. "I will always do my duty, no matter what the price, I've counted up the costs, I know the sacrafice. And I don't want to die for you, but if dyin's asked of me, I'll bear that cross with honor, 'cause freedom don't come free." WE thank David for his sacrafice. Friday, October 7, 2011 |

From one Military mom to another... I can only imagine your pain and loss.... My prayers go with you and your family during this time of great sorrow. My own son (PFC Victor A. Garcia IV) served in the Marines in Afghanistan so I know the fear you felt when he left, I can only imagine the pain and anguish at having those fears realized.... Friday, October 7, 2011 |
