Coach Tanner was one of the most entertaining educators of my Middle School years. He was a great man; his teachings and funny sayings always had a way of staying with you long after you'd left his class. I hope one day my children have an educator equal to Coach Tanner so that they too can fall in love with history and Louisiana culture. He'll be sorely missed. Farewell to one of the last great men.
