After reading the obituary, I wanted to extend my sympathy. Even though I never met Mary Ellen, I do know the pain of losing a loved one in death. However, it is very comforting to know that God's promises for our loved ones who have passed away is stated in the scriptures at Isaiah 25:8 where God's promise is to swallow up death, then we find the promise of endless life in peace, as we see from Psalm 37:11,29.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope comfort is found in knowing that even though we may loose our loved ones in death, God will bring back to life all those found in his memory. Job chapter fourteen verse fifteen and John chapter five verses twenty eight and twenty nine.

Dear Family and Friends:

I just wanted to take a moment to offer my sincere condolences on the passing of our very dear friend, Mary Ellen Lamb.

Below are my views of Mary :

1) The Mary Lamb I knew had great courage. She was never afraid to speak out against the status quo and conventional wisdom……..

2) The Mary Lamb I knew had amazing wisdom. She always knew his subject matter - - and could always defend it…..

3) The Mary Lamb I knew had conviction. She always felt strong about his ideas, no matter what anyone else thought.

4) The Mary Lamb I knew had clarity. Her message was typically simple, concise and easily understood…..

5) And the Mary Lamb I knew had credibility. She dang sure knew how to walk the walk and talk the talk.

No one had more compromising integrity than Mary . She always thought with discipline and honesty. She could sort through flattery, through politics and could always see things as they truly were. I always viewed Mary as incredibly competent, very caring and amazingly confident.

She was a most remarkable lady and I enjoyed many a conversation with her..............in Beaumont and in her home in Lumberton.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Family.

Regards,

David Frank

I will miss Mary. I was her friend and clinician. We shared many happy times and some frustrating ones. Mary was a lover of life, family, Church, and friends. She was a gracious lady. She worked very hard for our community support group; she was our leader. We will all miss her. My prayers are with you who will miss her most. She is at peace with God. May God's surround you with love during this difficult time. Bonney Bryan
