I always had a lot of respect for Mim as a person. She was a strong and no-nonsense lady and I loved that about her, it reminded me of several strong ladies in my own family. I'm so sorry for the loss Mike and Stan must both feel, since Mim was a mother to both of them. I am so glad that they both have had such a strong and supportive woman in their lives all these years... I know she made a difference. Rest in peace, Mim. and thank you.

Mary (Mimi), I don't know if you ever knew how much you meant to us all. Life goes by so quickly that we sometimes forget to take the time to slow down long enough to enjoy it. Although you did not become my grandmother until later in life, you have always been Haley's Mimi and you were very special to us both. It will be very different going to visit Mom and Stan without worrying about how much the kids are bothering you when you are trying to rest, or what are they getting into. I can remember when I would walk over to your house that I would just say a little prayer "God, please don't let anything be broken and let Mary still have her sanity!". Funny enough, you would always seem to be at peace even with my little monkeys climbing up the walls!! We will miss you more then you could have ever imagined but we were blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for the sign that you gave to me and Mom after you passed...it is so wonderful to have shared in your travel to heaven. We will love you always.

Though Mary and I first met under not-so wonderful circumstances , she and I developed a long and close relationship because of it .
Because of Mary I was reintroduced to the love of quilting.....how can I possibly get those "points properly made " without her help ? How can I ever find the not so subtle mistake in my pattern ? ...that she could spot in a sec. !
I relearned now to knit..thanks to her.
We shared many a cup of tea ..solving the "world's problems "....
But, most of all, I have lost a very, very dear friend who, despite the age gap ,was and will be one of my closest friends...She was one -of a- kind and Stan ,I am sure you knew that ! She will always be remembered ..with a smile.
