Dear Kelly,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom! I always thought she was such a kind and interesting person. My first memories of her are when we were in Blue Birds, and both of our moms were helping with the troop. I recall my own mom once saying, "I really like Nancy. She's a hippie, and I guess I'm really a hippie at heart!" And later, although I wasn't a frequent visitor to your home, I always felt like she was so happy to see me, and that she really cared about us kids. And I admired how open and accepting she was. I wish peace and healing to you and your family.
