Jan was a very good goalie but also a very nice person.
When I run into hin in Dallas , Plano or Austin we always had a nice talk in Dutch about the difference in the US and Holland as far as youth soccer.
Wish his wife and children all the strength they need in the coming months to deal with this loss.

Een sieraad voor de voetbalsport, zelden een keeper gezien met zoveel atletisch vermogen en lenigheid, op afstand de beste keeper van Nederland en ook een sympathiek/bescheiden mens. Zo herinner ik mij Jan van Beveren. Ik wens de familie veel sterkte bij het verwerken van dit grote verlies.
