Elizabeth Tribble

Wow, what a lady!! Mrs. Tribble, Elizabeth as she liked to be called, embodied the great American Spirit. She knew what she wanted and knew how to get it. Sharp as a tack, smart as a whip, deterred only by an aging body and hearing aids. I wanted to call her Lizzy but she would have none of that. Out of respect I called her Mrs. Tribble and she would always say, "Elizabeth". So I abided by her wishes. She loved her family beyond imagination! Lyn, cousins and grandchildren were so special to her. She showed me pictures of all the babies and young children many times as I made my visits to her. She would smile, giggle and give that little wink and grin only she could produce upon mention of those little ones. I hope you know how much you were loved by Lizzy!! Keep alive for her the care of the cemetery where she always liked to return annually for the reunion of relatives and others near Nacogdoches. She fought the great fight of old age. And because I asked her, I know she is resting forever in heaven with her heavenly Father. I am thankful I asked the question. May God richly bless your families as you grieve the loss of this gentle giant named Elizabeth Smith Tribble.
