While on a road trip back from Florida with my son, Kevin Lamm, JoAnn called him on his cell phone to ask for prayer (he was in her Sunday School Class). She had been diagnosed with cancer. We were in Florida and she and I talked and shared on through Louisiana. I was so blessed by her and loved this lady from that day until this. She was a shinning light and we will all miss her. She loved her family and one thing I will always remember her starting with, My son Patrick, the weather man. I would have to smile. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. God Bless you!

Jo Ann was a wonderful person. She was a great comfort and source of support to my wife Teresa who also succumbed to ovarian cancer last year. My thoughts are with her family, Doug, Patrick and everyone else.
Bless you all.

I met JoAnn about 10 years ago while working at a copy center. From the moment she walked in she made me feel like a dear friend, and that's exactly what we became. What a blessing she was! Her beautiful smile and shining blue eyes were a reflection of her loving heart and soul. She loved her family with all her heart and never failed to pull snapshots out of her purse and say "Sarah, look at my precious grandchildren!" Thank you Lord, for enriching my life with this dear lady.

Dear Doug:
I am so sorry about you dear wife's death. I am not able to come to the funeral because I had surgery in Houston today st for carpal tunnel. My mother, Emily King, is writing this for me.
My mother knew JoAnn through the Christian's Women's Club. My mother and dad knew you because you washed their house several years ago.
We are Christians and we know how you and your wife have served the Lord all these years. May God Bless you and comfort you,
I will get in touch with you when I am able.

In Christian Love,
Karen Funchess
