I didn't know Mr. Parfait. I read Julie's articles in the Advocate about him and feel as if I knew him through her. He had to be a very special man to be so loved and respected by his family. I pray that everyone affected by the confusion and pain of being old and sick could be cared for as he was. He didn't seem unhappy. Julie and his family took such good care of him. I know he felt the love and respect that his life merited for him. I admire that so much thought and effort went to maintain his dignity. May God bless you all.

I retired from Southern Pacific RR and I worked with Mr. Parfait. He trained me on many jobs back in the 80's. Awesome that he lived a long and happy life. May he rest in peace. My prayers go out to his family. God Bless all of you. Friday, April 29, 2011 |
