I first met Jimmy because we were neighbors, and we started school together. We were in the same class for many years, and developed a lasting friendship. The years I lived in Beaumont, Jimmy & I always lived within a few blocks of each other -- and always maintained our relationship. He was an honorable and decent man that you always sought in a friend. He was easy to bond with. As my contemporaries pass on, of course I am sad, because part of me goes with them. "The bell tolls for thee . . . " Jimmy was a good husband, a good father, and a good citizen. The world is a better place for him having been here. I am fortunate to have had this gentle and kind man as my friend for so many years. Patsy, you, Jimmy, and your family will be in my prayers, and in my memory forever. We are all truly blessed to have had Jimmy as a part of our life. Vince Giardina Cincinnati, OH Thursday, April 21, 2011 |
