I met Dan working at an office in Beaumont, He was the kindest, sweetest, heart after God man i ever met, to have gone through all he had been through...i havent seen him in a couple yrs, but sometimes he would come to mind just because he had that kind of demeanor, It was a blessing getting to know him in the short time i did. Im so sorry he he is gone from this ole world, but i know angels are smiling because they got him back....He will not be forgotten Friday, April 8, 2011 |

Karon, Mert, David, & Mark....I am so sorry for your loss. For me, Dan will always be the adventuresome world traveler. He told me....Karon was the best thing that ever happen to him. Dan believed in helping others, both by giving of himself or through donations. May God be with you, giving you peace & understanding.

I can't believe so many years have gone by since our days in Annapolis. I had such a huge crush on you! You were one in a million, and always had a smile for everyone. I'm glad your life was so rich with a wonderful wife and career. You will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. God has a special star, shining brightly in the sky, with your name on it. Godspeed Daniel!
For Daniel's family: Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences on your loss. May God hold Daniel in the palm of His hand for eternity. Friday, April 8, 2011 |

I Bryant Buck Maraist & my wife Melissa Maraist and twins Madison & Dylan loved Dan so so so much!!!! Dan and I had so many good times in the early Handlebar days, I remember my father loving him so much that he introduced him to his good friend that was sabine pilot that got Dan the job into the Sabine pilot Association. My father A.J. Maraist will be crushed to here the bad news!!!!!!! but would be happy that he's going to a better place. Our heart and prayers go out to his wife, father & family....... I've been on the phone this whole time while trying to find the words to tell our friends about the experiences that we had together, we all laughed & cried for the the time GOD blessed us for our time with DAN. I'm in Austin now with my family & will be missing the pleasure to show up to the services to show our respect, but I know that he knows that he is LOVED BY ALL MY FAMILY!!!!!!..............Any of DANs family & friends please feel free to call me on my cell# 512-550-1550.
