Mrs. Burgess:
I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of Mr. Burgess. I hope that your wonderful memories of him will bring you comfort and peace at this difficult time. I’ve been thinking of you and praying for you every day. Mr. Burgess had such a kind heart and friendly nature. When I heard the news, I thought back to all the nights/weekends everyone spent at your house. He was always joking around (quite the jokester) and he always had a smile on his face. I know he was overjoyed when he became a grandfather as well. He put up the fight of a lifetime. Please let me know if I can do anything at all for you and your family. I will miss Mr. Burgess very much. May happy memories replace the sadness in your heart. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.
Melissa and Scott,
Your father was an outstanding man and it seems that he has left us too soon. In ways big and small, your father's life changed our world and left it a better place, and touched too many hearts to ever be forgotten. Thinking of you in the loss and wishing there were words that could take away your sadness. I know this experience will change you forever. Just remember all the good times you shared with your father and all the love he gave you throughout the years. He is not gone. He will live in your heart forever. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
