I am so sorry to hear that John died. I saw him every week in Church. I did not know if he was ill, but he lip looked so bad. He was a cherrful man. When I heard of the vigil I realized that i could not attend becuase we had a very important meeting at the Saint Anne School that I was conducting for parents. I will offer one of my Masses for him on Sunday. Saturday, January 29, 2011 |

Truly one of the nicest guys and finest neighbors ever. How I remember all of those evenings coming home from work and seeing John working on that old van...when he would see me, he and I would stand at the fence and just "talk" for seemingly hours. Always ready to help you out if you needed something...a tool, some advice, ...whatever, ...if he saw that a neighbor needed help...he was right there. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 |

This is a poem that Megan found, and we wanted to share it with all of our family today. A loss of a father, grandfather, and a friend. He lived a long good life and loved his family dearly. this poem is called Safely Home In Heaven.... I'm safely home in heaven, Though I know you miss me so. The love I've always felt for you Within my heart still flows. My spirit will remain with you Every single day, appearing as a rainbow Or as ocean waives at play. I'm in the gentle rain that falls, And in the morning dew. all you see that's beautiful Reflects my love for you. I didn't mean to cause you pain, My time had simply come. The work that I was meant to do On earth had all been done. I'm safely home in heaven, Where eternal peace is mine. And where, when GOD has called you, Too, I'll be forever young.
We will forever miss you and we'll see you again someday. From George and Megan Landkamer and Family.. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 |
