Juno Bishop (Wolfforth, TX)

We have lost a classic. What a dear, dear man. He brought many smiles and hours and hours of stories that both taught and entertained. There will never be another 3:01 Club without him there, leading the chorous of teachers bent on solving the world's problem, and always with the belly laughs that went along with the solutions. Fly high with the angels John Pagan. It's all clear sailing from here.

Jack Ferguson (Atlanta, GA)

John was a good man and a talented pilot. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. I think this very appropriate.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

JoEllyn Creamer (Sour Lake, TX)

My husband, Myron, and I attended a Sunday School Class with John. He was always such a sweet man. He always told me that his first girlfriend was named Joellen and he had never heard the name since! I am very sorry for the loss and I know his great smile and his friendly ways will be missed.
