Dana and Corey,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dianne's passing. We worked together at Columbia Gulf. Although we hadn't seen each other since she moved to Kountze, we kept in touch via email. She was a good friend and I will miss her immensely.

Dana and Corey, I will miss your Mom and her great big smile! I wish there was something to say to make it hurt less, but I know there isn't. She loved you SO much! She was so proud of both of you and beamed when she spoke of you.

I know you were the main thing she did in her life that she was most proud of and thankful for. You were a wonderful daughter and gave her so much joy.

Everything that made her special is in you. Hold that close to your heart when you think of her.

Bless you, Terry

Sweet Dana – You’re in our thoughts and prayers. Knowing you and hearing the wonderful stories about your mom's kindness and beautiful spirit, I hope you find some comfort in this poem. We love you.

THE ROSE BEYOND THE WALL

A rose once grew where all could see,
Sheltered beside a garden wall.
And as the days passed swiftly by,
It spread its branches, straight and tall.

One day, a beam of light shone through,
A crevice that had opened wide.
The rose bent gently toward its warmth,
Then passed beyond to the other side.

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
Be comforted, the rose blooms there.
Its beauty even greater now,
Nurtured by God's own loving care.

Dana, I love you as a sister and know I am always here for you! Corey, you are my brother and I know this is hurting just as much as you lost your mom too!
So many of us considered Dianne family even if not by blood. Through the gift of being Dana and Corey's friends so many of us were given a second Mom. I always called her Mom as many of us did.
I found this poem and I hope it brings some comfort to everyone that misses her and considered her family.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
