Jeanette Evans (Charlotte, NC)

Words cannot express what Jasper has meant to me as his sister. We were very close in age but even closer in things we enjoyed doing. We told each other our secrets up until we were grown and double-dated together. He taught me to shoot a rifle, which girls didn't do. He was always pulling a joke on someone. Good ones, just to laugh about.

Even when he was in service we kept in touch and he would send me things. Even though he ended up in Texas we still enjoyed each other and I really appreciated him coming back to NC so very much. Yes, I will miss him, but so many things that happened in our lives, will always be with me.

What a blessing he and his family have been to me and I will love them forever.

My great Uncle Jasper was great. I just wish I could have made it to Texas more often, but I will never forget going there and spending time with Uncle Jasper and Aunt Jody. I know I will see him again. My love to all.

Just the little bit that I got to know and be around Jasper was a blessing to my life. He was a special person for sure.

My Uncle Jasper was the Best Uncle Ever because he always made me smile and always made me feel special as he did everyone he knew and loved. That is such a gift that he had, and he was such a gift to me. Missing him already even though I didn't get to see him often. I always knew he was there, but then again, he still is! My love to all my cousins, even the generations that I don't know.
