I worked at Munros on MLK many years ago and had the pleasure of knowing Artie Paul. He was a great man who always had a smile on his face. And when we had food we knew who the cook was. My prayers go out to his family during this difficult time and I pray Gods love will help you today and the days to come. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 |

Everyone at Dr Halbert's office sends our deepest sympathy to the entire Decuir family. Artie Paul was such a sweet spirit and we know how much he will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He always had a smile and a kind word for us all. It is my sincerest wish that you can take comfort in the knowledge that beyond this life as we know it there is a place where we will all meet again. A place where we never have to say goodbye. So long, "Precious"... Wednesday, November 10, 2010 |

Dear Lee Hoping your days are filled with true friends, close family, and Precious Memories. When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfore in knowing you were a Special part of a well-lived life. If I can help you at this time of sadness, I'm here. May angels walk with you today and always. Love you Buster and Gloria Wednesday, November 10, 2010 |

Dear Lee, Jeffery, Annette and Amber, Our hearts are united with you and all those who loved Artie Paul. He was always so SPECIAL to both of us, and to our whole family. His loving heart has now embraced not only you and us, but the whole court of heaven --- God, Our Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints. His passing seems so sudden and unreal. He was made to live FOR EVER AND THAT IS WHAT HE IS HAS BEGUN TO DO. We know HE will spend his heaven winning graces for each of US, until we are safely in his embrace again. Not only that, the gift of laughter has now increased in the heavenly court. We can just "see" Uncle Mitchell and Aunt Lizzie saying, 'Artie Paul, what took you so long, boy?!' MaMom Decuir has another one of her grandchildren with her above. We will always remember the photo of her on her high and wide porch steps, on College Street, with all of her grandchildren overflowing the multiple steps and spilling over to the porch railing. Remember that photo, y'all? When Aunt Amy would bring delicious seafood gumbo, we cousins would gather on MaMom's back screened-in porch and then the fun began, giggles, jokes, the joy of being together. Our loss is heaven's gain. We pray that all of us, who love Artie so much, will be gathered together on God's screened-in porch of the Kingdom for all eternity! Amen. Alleluia.
