My daughter Bailey was in Kindergarten with Katie and thought the world of her. I can remember that smile she had like it was yesterday. Katie always had a funny story or an awesome sparkle in her eye that could make anyone smile. I am so sorry for your loss Sandy and Grant. I will be praying for you and your families to find comfort in the days and weeks to come. The girls will be missed! Angelique and Bailey Smith Sunday, November 7, 2010 |

My sweet Katie~I'll always remember your precious smile and beautiful eyes that lit up when you told me stories about you and Cristin! I will treasure forever the pictures you drew for me and the sweet notes you left on my desk in Kindergarten. To Sandy and Grant, please know how very sorry I am. I'll never forget your baby girl....

I can not even begin to express my sadness for all of you. I taught Katie in 1st grade, she was in my very first class! She was an amazing little girl, who always made me smile. She had a smile that would light up a room! I am so thankful that I had to opportunity to be her teacher. She was truly an angel....may she rest in the arms of Jesus. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around all of you and comforts you during these difficult days. Sincerely, Darlene Van Dorn
