I have known Barton since 1962!!! He was a very happy presence in my life and in the lives of my immediate family. I can only pray that he knew he was loved and appreciated by us….we shared so many happy memories.

I've known Bart for many years and I am deeply saddened by his death. Bart was my neighbor, my babysitter, my handyman, but most of all my friend. He was always there when I needed him, no matter what, when or how. I can only pray that I was as good of a friend to him. Bart was a very special person and I for one will miss him greatly. Rest in peace, old friend. Friday, December 3, 2010 |

I didn't know Barton. Never met him once in my life. A friend of mine, who is a fire fighter, was at my house the night Bart lost his life. I heard the call over the radio. Such a sad thing to happen to a person. Bart has been on my mind since the call came in. Rest with Jesus, Bart. Such a better place to be. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 |

I have known Bart since I was 6 years old, when I had the pleasure and the joy of letting him into my life. I am now 28 and am saddened by this loss. He will be surely missed and remembered for all the good he has done for everyone around him. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 |

I know Bart had no family, but I feel a compulsion to leave a message here that Bart will be missed. To me, he was a kind, gentle, intelligent man with a warm heart. Though I've not seen him in a few months, I have thought about him often. I hope he's found peace. I will remember you fondly. RIP Bart. ~Tami Monday, November 8, 2010 |
